Job Description:

Maintain bakery products' high quality by decorating cakes, tarts, and pastries. Use artistic skills to build and finish specialty items, ensuring precise details. Provide excellent customer service, adhering to company standards.

• Assemble and decorate cakes and pastries.
• Build and ice cakes according to standard procedures.
• Maintain product quality and rotate stock in the display case.
• Support Bakery Decorator Apprentices and other Team Members.
• Create custom cake designs based on customer preferences.
• Provide excellent customer service and address customers' needs.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned.
  
  
  • Efficient cake decorating skills, including intermediate piping techniques.
  • Understanding of color theory for blending buttercream colors.
  • Ability to apply proper technique when using various icings.
  • Ability to follow recipes, directions, and procedures.
  • Advanced knife handling and tool safety.
  • Basic math skills for recipe conversions.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    
    
    • Minimum 6-12 months retail or restaurant experience.
    • Completion of Bakery Decorator Apprentice training program.
    • Prior experience in a professional bakery, preferred.
      
      
      • Lift up to 50 pounds.
      • Stand/walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday.
      • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
      • Work requires bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
      • Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals and temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
