Nursing Specialist Vacancy at Bradley HospitalWe are seeking a qualified nursing specialist to join our team at Bradley Hospital, a renowned behavioral health facility. As a nursing specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and adolescents with mild intellectual disability, Asperger's disorder, and behavioral disorders.

• Assess patients' immediate and long-term needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Provide direct patient care services, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans, promoting a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
• Participate in orientation and training of new employees, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island or participation in the Nurse Licensure Compact agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
  • One year of experience in psychiatric nursing and/or pediatric nursing, preferably in a behavioral health setting.
  • Strong background and experience working with children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral disorders, including intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorders.Work Environment and Physical Requirements:Work is performed in a psychology-based clinical setting, requiring extensive standing, walking, and occasional lifting of patients. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and patients' families.
